Chef Lawrence of House 2 prepared a wonderful Easter meal of lamb chops, sweet potatoes and carrots. The food was amazing! Better than the restaurants in town! Even better, he and the staff of House 2 are all wonderful, caring people.

House 6 has the best nurse and caregivers. All the staff is nice and helpful.

I believe that my Mother and Aunt are receiving excellent care at Sage Oak in Lake Charles.

Sage Oak has been a lifesaver! We couldn’t have survived this difficult part of life without the love and care of the House 3 staff.

Sage Oak is the most amazing assisted living facility I have ever witnessed. My Mom has been here since October, 2024. They introduced the home concept in assisted living and it gives peace and comfort to my family that she has the best care available in southwest Louisiana. And it would probably be rated in this same way for wherever you live. With this home concept it really feels like it is home for her and so many others. I believe there is a limit of 16 residents per home and this is so comforting as well. Short hallways to the common area, dining area, and even to the outdoor patio. The residents are adorable and they love to visit and are friends to each other. There is an amazing staff that includes a private chef, wonderful nursing staff, activity planner that keeps them very engaged and they love the different events she plans. The food menu is amazing and it is so delicious. We have the greatest chefs in House # 2. They prepare menus for each day and the food is better than some of our favorite restaurants. We love the care and love that is felt at any time we walk in. Thank you to all of the staff who cares for our loved ones.

House 6 has the most wonderful staff!! Truly exceptional, especially Jasmyne!! Kind, attentive, and genuinely caring towards every resident. They go above and beyond to make sure everyone feels comfortable, respected, and we’ll cared for. The facility is clean and welcoming, and communication with families is great. It gives us real peace of mind knowing our loved one is in such good hands!

My mother is in House 2. They are simply all extremely good to her. Everything is clean, bright and pleasant. She even has a favorite chef and aid. She has physically and mentally accepted the care and comfort that are always there. This house is such a needed blessing to our family.

House 2 is beautiful and well kept. Clean and tidy always. The nurses, aides and cooks and all the little helpers are fantastic! Everone is caring and patient . Good at keeping the residents on routine. Many many different activities – a calendar full -that are fun and entertaining for all! I can’t say enough GOOD and WONDERFUL things about Sage Oaks House 2 and all the lovely hard workers inside it that keep our loved ones safe and clean and going day to day! My husband is in Building 6. I cannot say enough about the quality of care he is given. The staff is exceptional and address not only all his needs but any concerns that I have in a positive and supportive manner. In addition the food is exceptional!

Sage Oak is Top Notch! Both of my parents have been exceptionally cared for by the staff at Sage Oak. They help with ADL’s, coordinate fun activities, foster friendships with other residents, and have some of the BEST food around! If you need a place for mom or dad, I would highly recommend Sage Oak.

It is a great feeling knowing that our loved one is being taken such good care of.

Mom passed away on October 24, 2024. Because of the friendships that were built during her time there with the residents, their families and the staff, i continues to go and visit. Maybe 3 or 4 times a week I go and just hangout. It has been such therapy to the healing of my heart with Moms passing. I say all of this to say, sage oak was not just a place for mom, it becomes family. They not only care for the resident, they care about the family. They work with us to make sure our loved ones have what they need and help us to navigate the new person our loved one becomes. I can’t imagine moms last days anywhere but at Sage Oak. They were there for her but also for the family. Until God calls me to move on, I will continue to going to Sage Oak and make sure all my people, staff included, feel loved, feel seen and smile before I leave. Just an update to buy previous review last year. It has been a year since my mom came to live at Sage Oak. As I sit and reflect on the past year, I am so very thankful that Mary Hebert was who met with me that day. I was a hot mess, I had been to two other places and felt defeated. How could I put my mom in Assisted living after what I had seen. Oh, they were nice enough places but I couldn’t imagine mom living there. The long hallways, the smell, the dreariness. I went to Sage Oak and met with Mary. She handed me a box of kleenex and two pieces of Dove chocolates! Her first question was, tell me about your mom. Mom was her main focus for the next hour. We took a tour and I instantly fell in love with the place. SHE sold me on Sage Oak because her first question wasn’t , tell me your what your budget is, this is the cost, and this is all the add ons. How does that fit your budget? Every other place I had been, it was about money and they didn’t ask about my momma. Mary made Sage Oak all about mom. And yes, money did come up in our conversation BUT, it was NOT the main thing. So we moved in in March 2023. Mom still loves it there and so do I.. It was definitely a God thing and I thank Him daily for opening the doors and finding the perfect place for mom. I love Sage Oak. When mom needed 24hr supervision I endured the task of finding her a new home. None compared or even came close to Sage Oak. I know when I took the first tour with Mary that this is it!! When you walk into a faciclity and smell food cooking…it smelled like home. The Chef greeted us then all the ladies who would care for mom greeted us. Mom loved it when she saw it and has since living there coined the phrase…“if ya need a place to be..THIS is the place to be”. It feels like home when I walk in the front door to visit. I love that Sage Oak has made.it possible for me to be moms daughter again and not the caregiver. I could go on for ever about the food..the staff..the 16 resident home concept but I wont. The concept of a home like environment is perfect and truly makes it feels like a home and not a faculty. I just believe we are where God wants us to be because He led us to this place and everything just fell into place for Mom.

Number one: Mon is very happy at Sage Oak! That is a priority for me. Second: All the staff is wonderful to Mom, we have great communication almost daily . There’s always an open door for visitors. The food is outstanding considering bldg 6 has fantastic and friendly chefs. Mom’s needs are met daily and I feel the staff is always very observant of her heath. I highly recommend Sage Oak. I wouldn’t want mom anywhere else.

Our experience at Sage Oak has been nothing short of amazing! No place is like home but this place comes so very close. We moved our mother into Sage Oak in June 2025 due to her needing extra help that was not provided at the place she was resided previously. We have experienced other facilities over the years with our father who had Alzheimer’s and was total assist. He passed away in March of 2022 and since then, our mother began a decline that continues. Upon moving her in to Sage Oak we were hopeful that she would receive the best care, but wow, Sage Oak has exceeded our expectations on so many levels! Mom is happy and well cared for by the wonderful staff. She is gaining weight back that she had lost at her previous place because the chef at Sage Oak is so talented and the food is SO good! I should know, I eat there often! Families are welcomed with open arms and there is a real sense of community that the administration has established and fosters. Each of the 5 houses has 16 residents. SIXTEEN RESIDENTS!! Each house has its own nurse, 2 caregivers, and chef. As stated, we have been in several other facilities with both parents over the years and there was a constant revolving door of employees over those years. Not at Sage Oak…the staff that was there the day we moved mom in is the staff that is still there happily caring for the residents that they consider family. This is special and cannot be replicated as much as other places try. We are so blessed that mom is happy and well cared for and feels at home. We are truly grateful for all that Sage Oak does for our mom, all the residents, and their families. What a blessing this place is!

They have been absolutely wonderful during the snow storm, giving me so much peace of mind for my mom. From day one, it’s been an amazing experience working with them and I look forward to seeing my mom thrive with their attention and nurturing care.

My great aunt is at Sage Oak and my family is so happy with the dedicated and upbeat personnel and the super care she receives. Sage Oak is such a special place. We know she is enjoying herself and is very well cared for.

During these cold, snowy days, I am so thankful for Sage Oak and the wonderful care they are giving to mom when I am unable to be there due to weather conditions on the roads. Employees are camped out there making memories with all the residents. I love how much they love their residents and treat them like family!!!

Whether it be one of their special resident-centric events, calling you to discuss something they noticed about your family member or even just ordering them a special treat to make their stay even more homelike, SageOak sets the bar for Assisted Living and Memory Care facilities!

The journey began in 2023 to find a place for my mother and after visiting each assisted-living facility in the Lake Charles area, our last facility to visit was Sage Oak. I had my mind made up within just a few minutes of being there that this would be the absolute best place for my mother and she agreed as well. Every employee at this facility from the administrative staff, activities director, maintenance guys, nurses, the personal chefs in each house and the caregivers are some of the best in the industry. They truly care about each residents wellbeing and their needs. My family and I can never thank the staff enough for providing excellent care for my mother. Sage Oak has truly been a blessing to my family and I highly recommend anyone looking for an assisted living facility for their loved one…. DO NOT look at other facilities….Sage Oak in Lake Charles is undoubtably the best place and by far exceeded all of my expectations.

When I had to place my Mother in assisted living, my priority was to choose a facility that had amenities which met all her needs and requests. My choice didn’t consider my convenience. Instead, my choice was what was best for her! I never doubted my choice for her while she was at Sage Oak for over 2 1/2 years. My Dad has been a resident of Sage Oak for 4 months. It was a hard decision moving him out of his home but choosing Sage Oak was definitely the right decision. The nurses truly care about their patients. They are kind and treat my Dad like he is part of their family. The food is exceptional and there is always something scrumptious in the oven. My Dad has become quite the foodie. I am so thankful we choose Sage Oak for our Dad’s care.

I can’t begin to explain the gratitude I have for Sage Oak. They gave my father his dignity and humanity back. His level of care needed is difficult, yet he was met with compassion and understanding. He was well cared for and shown respect. Even toward the end of life they loved on us and treated us as family. I highly recommend Sage Oak for your loved one.

My Sister Billie is a new resident at Sage Oak. I try to visit everyday…I am so impressed with this Assistant Living Facilities…staff is so pleasant and I have watched them interact with other residents…they seem to really care for the residents…my Sister keeps bragging about her really good 3-meals a day…the house where she lives is so clean and smells so good and I always tell the ladies that prepare the meals that before I enter the building I smell the food just like when I would visit my Mom at her house…Bridget is extremely friendly and nice to all the residents and she has such wonderful activities for the residents…I can’t speak enough good things about this place.. I am so pleased that my Sister is a resident at Sage Oaks…also thank you all for being so patient and kind to my sister Billie…

My mom always told me, “… please do not throw me away and put me in a home…” All of my life, I knew that one day I would have to take care of my parents when they would not be able. After my dad passed away in 2020, I stepped in to help my mom adjust to being alone. They were married 63 years and she only knew life with him. After several years of good health and adjusting well, mom had a set back that landed her in ICU for a week and then rehab to strengthen her back to her original health. After being discharged from the hospital rehab, the doctor strongly encouraged her not to live alone. Being the only child and always hearing the words of “do not throw me away”, the task at hand would be a challenge. After seeking in-home sitters and her not wanting to live with me, I was at a dead end. The only thought I had was not to “throw her away”. After talking with mom, we decided to try an assisted living as a transition from the hospital until she could go home. I had 2 days to find, tour, and move mom in. After I consulted with the hospital social worker and numerous friends and family, I started calling around to tour the facilities in town. Being a pharmacist, I know the medication side, but as a daughter to find a temporary home for mom was an unknown, scary adventure. After visiting other assisted living facilities, and not wanting to just settle, I went to Sage Oak to tour one more place. From the moment I walked in, I knew this was the place I wanted to care for my mom. At first mom was hesitant about moving in, but now she is thriving and smiling a smile I have not seen since before my dad passed. Mom is back! The Sage Oak’s team is incredible, and the care and new friendships she has made have far exceeded any and every expectation. The fear of mom asking to go home, has turned into her choosing to stay. The thought of “do not throw me away” is no longer a thought, and she is happy and no longer wants to move home. I share this story in hopes that it will help at least one person. Loved ones deserve to be taken care of and it is ok to agree to assisted living. Assisted living, especially Boutique style assisted living, is not “throwing you away”, it’s actually, coming home. Sage Oaks has by far exceeded our expectations. I work in the field of Hospice and being able to experience their staff from the caretakers to the nurses to the chefs, everyone has been exceptional. We recently had my mom at another very large, assisted living community, and the care she received was subpar. As a professional working in the field, and as a family member, I would highly recommend Sage Oaks to anyone looking for Assisted living or Memory Care. Their programs are exceptional. It has been about a year since I last reviewed Sage Oak. My husband is still there and I wanted to update my review to give them five-stars. Over this past year there have been so many additions, improvements and I just couldn’t be happier overall. As I mentioned in my original review – my husband has been in two other assisted living facilities in this area over the years and I could not be more pleased with Sage Oak! If my husband cannot be home with me full-time, I would not want him anywhere else than Sage Oak. My husband is currently a resident here after spending time in two different facilities as well as being home during Covid and Hurricane Laura & Delta. Deciding to bring him back into an assisted living facility was once again one of the hardest things I’ve had to do. I struggled for months on what to do but I knew that I had to still work full time and it was taking its toll on me and our relationship. Thanks to Sage Oak I was able to get back to myself and start being a wife again for my husband. I enjoy our time we spend now and everyone around me says I am even looking healthier. I feel good again and Sage Oak offers a great facility for the area. I would recommend it and look forward to their growth in the community.

The staff at Sage Oak are Amazing! We moved my dear Aunt in 2 weeks ago, I can honestly say everything promised has been been done. Every caregiver knows each resident and the individual care they need. All done with a big smile and extreme care. We are all becoming one big family! Since our worry over her well being is being taken care of we are now able to just visit and enjoy her company!! The houses are beautiful and not to forget the chef cooked meals are Awesome! Activities are really fun and the residents really enjoy them (so do we!)

Sage Oak is truly superior to all other assisted living/ memory care facilities in the Lake Charles area. Prior to Sage Oak we placed our love one in a nearby facility that has wonderful reputation, but over time we realized that there was a huge disconnect between their marketing and their operations. We did lots of research on other facilities in our area only to find similar results until we found Sage Oak. They are owned and operated by people who treat your loved one with love, care, compassion, and dignity. Sage Oak’s team care for their residents the same way they would except their loved ones to be cared for and it shows from the maintenance workers to the amazing chefs! They are truly a family and have set up each house to support this task not only for their residents but for their family members. Our only regret is waiting so long to move our loved one to Sage Oak!

I moved my husband to Sage Oak and could not be more pleased. The family, living room, kitchen design is perfect for having many eyes on your loved one. The staff and caregivers are wonderful and the ratio of staff to resident is great and they truely work as a team. It’s clean, the food is great and I have the satisfaction of knowing my husband is in good hands. One of the staff members told me that I could stop being a caregiver and go back to be a wife who can enjoy a visit. I appreciate you Sage Oak!

So much has changed in the past few months for the better. As I thanked Brian for all the updates and what he has done, his words to me were “It’s not just me. The whole staff gets credit. It is all of us working together.” I say “THANK YOU” to every worker at Sage Oaks that makes it such a comfortable place for our Mother to live. The staff is wonderful. You could not ask for better caregivers. You feel like you have know them a lifetime. Anytime I have a question, they are all just a phone call away. Again, Thank you !

Sage Oak has been a blessing in Lake Charles. My mom has been there a little over a month and she receives top quality care and assistance. Move in was easy and the staff has extraordinarily caring and helpful. They have gone the extra mile to ensure a smooth transition and to get Mom the care that she deserves.

Can’t say enough positive things about Sage Oaks and their staff. The feeling of knowing that my Mom is cared for in a personal way is very calming at a stressful time in our lives. Knowing that she is known by name and down to her favorite drink to eat with her meal gives a personal touch that is better than we’ve seen anywhere else. We are thankful for Sage Oaks and staff!!

I can only speak about the Memory Care portion of Sage Oak. My mother and her sister are residents there. As far as I am concerned, this is the best Memory Care facility in this area. People with dementia/Alzheimer’s can be difficult to handle, but the nurses and caregivers and, even the chefs, do a really good job taking care of them. The food is always fantastic and the facility always smells good. Shoutouts to Nurse Jasmyne, Chefs Xavier and Ebony, all the caregivers and Ms Lovely.

If you’re looking for a clean (smells like home, not a nursing home), safe, caring environment for your loved one, this is it. I visited a number of facilities from Houston to Baton Rouge, and when I toured Sage Oak, there was no doubt in my mind that this is where my loved one needed to be. From simply inquiring about Memory Care to moving her in, the process was professional, low-stress, and seamless. I love and appreciate the resident/care-giver ratio. There are 15 rooms in my loved one’s Memory Care home, which means she is watched closely and given the personalized care she deserves. I know that if something were to happen to her, it won’t be hours before someone notices. The way all the workers love on her is priceless. I knew from day one that I had chosen the right place, but seeing her literally look years younger and truly thriving at Sage Oak underscores that I made the right decision. Did I mention the gourmet yet nutritious meals and the meaningful activities? I live out of state, and the regular phone calls and text updates I receive from Sage Oak provide me peace of mind and make my heart so happy. Sage Oak is absolutely perfect for my aunt . . . and for me. I can’t imagine her being anywhere else. Sage Oak truly is the model all others should follow. Schedule a visit today.

I my family gives SageOak the highest of recommendation. The care they provided was more than we could have even wished for. My father was at an advanced stage of Dementia when he arrived at Sageoak and also had additional special needs as he was a big man and could not walk. We moved my father from another private nursing home to Sageoak hoping to get better care and they exceeded our expectations. The entire staff was sweet and kind to my father, even in his most difficult moments. It truly takes special people to provide this kind of care and that is exactly what Sageoak has, a staff of exceptionally caring people. They went the extra mile to make sure my dad was out of bed and socializing with the other residents, giving him the dignity of life, something he never experienced at the prior facility. While his disease ultimately took his life, he had the best last days thanks to the staff at Sageoak. Their compassion for him and for my family during his last days was truly God sent!

It’s reassuring to know that there is such a place that exists in Lake Charles. Having gone through the struggles of losing a loved one to Dementia in 2019. We searched for a place, specifically catering to her needs but was very difficult to find locally. In conclusion, Sage Oak Assisted Living Facility is more than just a place of residence for the elderly; it’s a sanctuary of comfort, care, and compassion. I wholeheartedly recommend Sage Oak to anyone in search of a nurturing environment for their loved ones.

The decision to place a loved one in memory care is always a difficult choice. Sage Oak was hands down our choice. In the 5 months since our decision the compassionate staff at Sage Oak has confirmed our decision was the correct one. All of the staff are kind, compassionate, and caring. The staff is not there for a paycheck but a calling. The physical structure is great but the staff definitely sets Sage Oak apart. If you want the best for your loved one Sage Oak is it.

My mother-in-law has been a resident in Sage Oak Memory Care for one month. Sage Oak has greatly surpassed all our expectations. Every single employee gives 100% every day. It is obvious it is not just a job, but a calling for them. Her level of care gives the family such peace of mind. We know she is in good hands, always. The administration is accessible and responsive if a need arises. The building is beautiful, clean and feels like home. Lots of natural light comes through the windows and there is always something good cooking in the kitchen. The small 16 room setting makes it so much more personal and allows for a very low caregiver-to-resident ratio not found anywhere else. We love Sage Oak in Lake Charles.

I didn’t want to move my Dad to Sage Oak because the rooms are just a bedroom with a private bath. My mistake. It is set up to encourage interaction between staff and other residents. It is like a home with friends over. This has been the best decision ever. I could immediately see the personal care and concern by the staff. He is in Dementia care and even residents came to meet and greet him. Thank you and Well Done Sage Oak.

My mother is receiving compassionate, quality care at Sage Oaks. The chefs prepare amazing dishes and gladly accommodate her mechanical soft diet needs. The caregivers keep my mother in the open living area so that she can enjoy seeing visitors and staff and watch her meals being prepared. Her room is inspected routinely to insure cleanliness and order. The chair and bed in her room have alarms to notify the staff that she is “on the go.” Caregiving for a loved one with dementia is a very difficult task. Sage Oaks is my mom’s fourth facility. For the first time, she says that she is in a nice place. Sage Oaks gives me a tremendous piece of mind. I visit my mom usually 6 days a week. The residents, family members and staff have made caring for my mom much easier. I would highly recommend Sage Oaks to anyone requiring memory care.

Following a fall and injury that required 24 hour care and a long recovery period, Sage Oak was a welcome and exceptional place for my mom. She was well taken care of by every staff member who did so much more than just meet her needs. They were loving, professional, caring, and went out of their way to accommodate her special requests. Our family was fortunate to have a safe haven for our mom when she couldn’t be at home, and I will forever be grateful for how they supported her AND our family, educating us along the way.

We absolutely loved Sage Oak and their staff. My father as well as all family members that came to visit were made to feel at home, welcomed with smiles and hugs and were always asked if anything was needed. My father’s stay here was not long, but he was able to enjoy his last days at this facility. He made friends, loved the food and going outside for rides in his motorized wheelchair. Although he is no longer with us, Sage Oak and their staff will always hold a special place in our hearts. I plan to go visit whenever I have the chance.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Marsha Perkins while helping coordinate a special nurse appreciation Breakfast, and I was truly impressed by the entire experience. From the moment I walked in, the facility felt clean, welcoming, and well cared for. What stood out most was the staff. Everyone I encountered was friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. You can tell they genuinely care about the residents, and it shows in the positive atmosphere throughout the building. The residents themselves looked happy, comfortable, and engaged, which speaks volumes about the level of care and attention they receive daily. It’s not easy to create an environment that feels both professional and warm, but this team does it effortlessly. Overall, it’s clear that this facility takes pride in both its staff and residents, and it absolutely shows. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place where people truly care.

Sage Oaks is an amazing facility. The staff truly cares about its residents and it shows in the activities they plan, cleanliness of the facility, nutritious meals provided, and love shown. I have visited the Sage Oaks residences multiple times as a guest and I’m always blown away at the care shown to me as a guest and that’s with every staff member I come across. Sage Oaks you all are amazing!

I visit Sage Oaks weekly for a Bible Devotional reading with their residents that Bridgette, their activities director, and I coordinate together on. The facility is nice and clean! I love that their kitchen/grill area is open and flows into the activity and lounge space making it easy for everyone to interact and engage. One of the best experiences I’ve had at Sage Oaks is seeing Bridgette’s love and care for the residents, and how much they appreciate and love her also. They have great people working there; always something fun and entertaining going on!

I myself find Sage Oaks to be the best place for anyone who requires assistance. This place is gorgeous not to mention the staff is amazing every time I go there it smells like they just finished cooking, if anyone is looking for the perfect place to give their love ones confort or just space to get their mental strength organized this is definitely the place for it. I’ll tell you what go see for yourself and you’ll find that this place is rare bc each building has maybe 12 people living so it’s convenient for everyone to get the proper assistance…. please go see for yourself & you’ll understand my review. I am a healthcare vendor that travels and visits many assisted living homes all over the south. I am blown away at the attention to detail that Sage Oak provides. Upon visiting I notice the meticulous landscaping and manicured lawns. As I approach the main building I began to notice the perfect and well thought out layout. I had the pleasure of being able to tour Sage Oak prior to it’s opening for the public. It’s such a beautiful, well designed facility that caters to our elderly population. I have also had experience with Sage Oak as a healthcare provider and it’s a top notch facility. The staff is very knowledgeable, caring, compassionate and they make their residents feel like they are at their own home since most are not able to go back and live in their own personal home. As we all know how hard it is to make the decision to put our loved ones in any kind of home, after the experience I have had with Sage Oak, I would be 100% confident to place my mom in this facility and know that she will be loved, cared for and well taken care of and she would have the best quality of care I could have ever ask or provide for her.

Thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the Sage Oak Lake Charles campus during its open house event. I particularly liked the tour where I learned more about the concept and carefully considered layout. Instead of a single giant facility, there are multiple care homes that by design allow for low resident to caregiver ratios. The individual rooms could be customized to feel like home, then in the center of the home were open and inviting community spaces for social interaction, not to mention the beautiful kitchen where a chef prepares meals onsite and can tailor to dietary needs. Many more thoughtful considerations were mentioned during my visit – would definitely recommend a tour to check it out firsthand. My experience was much different from the impersonal hospital-like facilities that come to mind when I typically think of assisted living. Sage Oak is clearly passionate about and taking steps towards elevating the standard of comfort and care for its residents. Well done!

Great facility. Nothing in the market like it. The staff and ownership care about the results of the residents care and it is shows. Their property is meticulously planned out to achieve better results. From a lower kitchen island to make it more accessible to the nurses station with ability to view all across the common areas. When I am of age to be here, I would definitely enjoy being taken care of by them!

Okay so let me start by saying, every idea you’ve ever had of a nursing home or assisted living facility, throw that away. This “community” is really something out of a dream. Upon waking into the first house, I got the sense of welcome and the sense of home. It doesn’t feel like a medical facility or just anything remotely close to a nursing home. It was truly like walking into someone’s home. The kitchen is actually a kitchen! No more guessing what’s going to be eating while you’re brought into the eating area with 30 other people. Now I didn’t eat any of the food but it appeared to be 5 star meals. The presentation was out of the world. Kudos to the chef. Who will actually be preparing food for the residents. So if you take anything from what I am saying, please check out Sage Oaks for all your loved ones! Maybe even yourself! 😂 Sage Oaks is going to change the way of long term care living. Let’s not forget the team. They are just the best and most amazing group of people I have come across. I truly believe they will make a difference in long term care. Y’all go check this place out! My first thought when I saw the building was that it was a neighborhood being built. To my surprise, it was an assisted living/retirement community. I attended the grand opening and was astounded at what I saw! The outside of the location was beautiful. Once I entered the house that hosted the opening, I was surprised to find that it felt more like a home than it did a facility. The common area was spacious, and the kitchen area was something out of a mansion. It had the appeal of a home-style kitchen but was large enough to seat multiple families. I toured the show house and was amazed at the rooms. Just big enough not to feel cramped and had a large bathroom area. The staff was warming and welcoming. They seemed to be compassionate about the care for their residents and would not hesitate to send a loved one there for a forever home! Not to mention the food was terrific. I would not mind living there right now if I could!

Enjoyed meeting all the staff at Sage Oak, everyone was very professional and friendly. The facility is beautiful and I’m sure it will feel like home to all the residents. Best of luck to all that worked so hard to make Sage Oak of Lake Charles a success.

My wife and I attended the open house and met with the owner, manager and chef.This place reinvents the concept of luxury boutique care and it is awesome. The homes are beautiful and the onsite chef prepared some delicious food. It is a open and inviting floor plan that encourages socializing and not just staring at a TV all day. It is designed to be safer and provide better care. It is a place that I would be proud to have care from my parent and hopefully myself when the time comes.
